Cafe Brulot, Cocktail

If you are looking for a cocktail to make for Mardi Gras, here is a spin on the classic Cafe Brulot! This would go really well with a sweet treat like beignets or the classic King Cake! This drink was originally invented at Antoine’s Restaurant, French Quarter, New Orleans. the drink itself is quite the show, with tableside service that involves setting Brandy on fire and then ladling the flaming liquid through an orange twist decorated with cloves.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Brandy (you can also use Bourbon!)

  • .5 oz Grand Marnier

  • .5 oz Siloam Syrups Apple Spice

  • 2 orange twists and one lemon twist

Instructions

  • Place an orange and lemon twist in a pint glass and gently muddle

  • Pour in your brandy, Grand Marnier, and syrup and stir

  • Strain into your favorite coffee or tea cup, and top with strongly brewed Cafe Du Monde or your favorite hot coffee
