  • Please clean pour spouts, dust covers, and pumps thoroughly before using.

Your pour spout comes with a dust cover, this will help keep bugs out of the nozzle of your syrup and will also help lengthen the time between needing to clean your pour spout. You can tell it is time to clean your pour spout if it is visibly clogged or the flow of syrup is slowing down.

Your black pump includes a small silicon cover, this will help keep bugs out of the nozzle of your syrup and will also help lengthen the time between needing to clean your pumps. You can tell it is time to clean your pump when pushing down on the pump feels stiff or the flow of syrup is slowing down.

    Cleaning

    • Remove the pour spout or pump from your bottle

    • If cleaning a pump, separate the black pump from the “straw-like” clear tube

    • Fill a bowl with a few drops of soap and the hottest tap water you can get, soak all pieces for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse thoroughly

    • If cleaning a pump, re-attach the pieces and pump over a sink to get any water inside the pump-out

    • Allow all pieces to air dry before re-inserting the pump into your favorite syrup

    TIPS

    • Don't aggressively tighten the pump onto your bottle, the threading between the bottle and pump will allow for a gentle and sufficient seal and not an ultra-tight twist. The clear tube is hand trimmed to length, but sometimes the tube is left a little too long, you can trim the tube down further if needed

    • Use antibacterial soap and hot, not boiling, water whenever cleaning your pour spouts, dust covers, and pumps to ensure that they are free of any particles that could introduce germs, bacteria, dirt, or dust into your syrup and allow to fully air dry before returning to the bottle

    • Do not clean pour spouts, dust covers, or pumps in the dishwasher

    • Plan to clean your pumps and pour spouts once every two to three weeks and the dust covers as needed

    • Removing the pour spout will be easier if you use a towel and use a gentle rocking motion to ”wiggle” the spout out of the bottle
