Berry Brandy Cobbler Cocktail

Cobbler cocktails have a long history, I won’t bore you with that here though, as this page is for recipes and not stories. I will say, that thanks to the Apple Spice simple syrup and the beautiful blackberries and fresh rosemary this cocktail transitions beautifully from summer to fall.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Apple Brandy or Bourbon

  • 1 oz of cold water

  • 4 fresh blackberries

  • pinch of sea salt

  • fresh rosemary sprig

  • crushed ice

Instructions

  • Muddle the blackberries in a shaker

  • Fill the shaker half with ice and pour in your remaining ingredients and a light pinch of salt

  • Shake until well chilled and double strain over crushed/cobbled ice into your favorite double-rocks glass

  • Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary

    • TIP - if you don’t have access to crushed ice, you can place whole ice into a tea town and carefully hammer with a kitchen mallot
