Berry Brandy Cobbler, Cocktail & Mocktail
Cobbler cocktails have a long history, I won’t bore you with that here though, as this page is for recipes and not stories. I will say, that thanks to the Apple Spice simple syrup and the beautiful blackberries and fresh rosemary this cocktail transitions beautifully from summer to fall.
Ingredients
2 oz Apple Brandy or Bourbon
1 oz of cold water
4 fresh blackberries
.5 oz of Apple Spice Syrup
pinch of sea salt
fresh rosemary sprig
crushed ice
Make it a Mocktail!
3 oz Apple Juice
4 fresh blackberries
.5 oz of freshly squeezed lemon
.5 oz of Apple Spice Syrup
pinch of sea salt
fresh rosemary sprig
crushed ice
Instructions
Muddle the blackberries in a shaker
Fill the shaker half with ice and pour in your remaining ingredients and a light pinch of salt
Shake until well chilled and double strain over crushed/cobbled ice into your favorite double-rocks glass
Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary
TIP - if you don’t have access to crushed ice, you can place whole ice into a tea town and carefully hammer with a kitchen mallot
