Spiced Espresso Martini, Cocktail & Mocktail

I absolutely love this espresso cocktail for the fall and winter. It features the Dirty Pumpkin syrup with all of its beautiful spices, takes a step away from the traditional vodka or whiskey used in espresso martinis, and includes a nice barrel-aged rum for a well-rounded cocktail.

Ingredients, Cocktail

  • 1.5 oz barrel-aged rum

  • 1.5 oz coffee liqueur (my favorite is Oak & Bean from Foxtrail Distillery)

  • 1.5 oz milk or milk alternative ( I use thick oat milk, but half and half would be amazing!)

  • 1.5 oz Dirty Pumpkin syrup

  • Grated nutmeg to garnish/top

Ingredients, Mocktail

  • 1.5 oz cold brew

  • 1.5 oz milk or milk alternative ( I use thick oat milk, but half and half would be amazing!)

  • 1.5 oz Dirty Pumpkin syrup

  • Grated nutmeg to garnish/top

Instructions

  • Pour the rum, liqueur, milk, and syrup into a shaker half-filled with ice

  • Shake until well chilled, and strain into your favorite martini glass or pour over ice

  • Garnish with a generous dusting of nutmeg
