Siloam Syrups Granola
Enjoy this granola like you would a cereal, keep it as a quick snack, or use the granola as a topping on your yogurt, parfait, or ice cream.
Ingredients
3 cups old-fashioned oats
3/4 cup almond flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans (or almonds)
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
2/3 cup of your favorite Siloam Syrup
Sea salt to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 300 F
Line a 9X13 inch baking pan with parchment paper
Mix the oats, almond flour, salt, and nuts in a large bowl
Pour melted coconut oil over the oat mixture and stir well
Pour the Siloam Syrup over the nut and oil mixture and stir until everything is combined
Pour onto the prepared baking pan
Bake for 40 minutes, rotating the pan every 10 minutes - remove the baking pan but do not turn off the oven, this helps keep the heat in the oven
After 40 minutes, remove the pan from the oven (keep the oven on) and allow the granola “slab” to cool in the pan for 10 minutes
Lift the granola out of the pan using the parchment paper
Cut the slab into squares and then break into smaller pieces if desired
Put the clusters back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for another 20 minutes, rotating once at the 10-minute mark
NOTE : the granola becomes crunchier the longer it cools
