Siloam Syrups Granola

Enjoy this granola like you would a cereal, keep it as a quick snack, or use the granola as a topping on your yogurt, parfait, or ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats

  • 3/4 cup almond flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans (or almonds)

  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil

  • 2/3 cup of your favorite Siloam Syrup

  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300 F

  • Line a 9X13 inch baking pan with parchment paper

  • Mix the oats, almond flour, salt, and nuts in a large bowl

  • Pour melted coconut oil over the oat mixture and stir well

  • Pour the Siloam Syrup over the nut and oil mixture and stir until everything is combined

  • Pour onto the prepared baking pan

  • Bake for 40 minutes, rotating the pan every 10 minutes - remove the baking pan but do not turn off the oven, this helps keep the heat in the oven

  • After 40 minutes, remove the pan from the oven (keep the oven on) and allow the granola “slab” to cool in the pan for 10 minutes

  • Lift the granola out of the pan using the parchment paper

  • Cut the slab into squares and then break into smaller pieces if desired

  • Put the clusters back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for another 20 minutes, rotating once at the 10-minute mark

  • NOTE : the granola becomes crunchier the longer it cools
